Calvary’s Values

Calvary’s Mission is to Lead people to a life-changing relationship with Jesus. As we seek to lead and live that out, there are several values that we have identified as items that are significant to us as a church.

RELATABLE TRUTH: If we read and apply the Word of God, He will change our lives.

Demonstrated by:

  •  Encouraging those without a Bible to use a Bible during the service and to take one home.

  • Writing small group curriculum that is sermon based and aimed at the personal application of God’s Word.

  • Developing sermons that are focused on practical application for everyday life.

  •  Building a culture that values biblical application as an indicator of spiritual growth.

2 Timothy 3:16 (ESV) “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness”

  • Teaching that “It’s okay to not be okay”

  • Allowing others to openly share their past and current struggles to highlight God’s redemptive work.

  • Highlighting the need for all believers to live a life of consistent faith at church, at work, at home, online, and beyond.

1 John 1:7-9 (ESV) “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
